Okay so with Beyoncé and Jay Z hot in the press at the moment after all that palaver in the lift, I thought I’d try and find some style steels. One of my fav outfits for Queen B was at the beginning of January, I can't imagine wearing something like this in January, I live in the UK, its freeeeeezing this time of year! But summer is nearly here (WOOHOO) and I love this style for relaxing at the park, going to the beach and exploring new holiday destinations. I found the real deal and some styles similar with a much lower price tag!

Jay Z, well this style isn't going to suit for all guys but I like to cater for both sexes so as I was looking for Beyoncé’s style I had a hunt for Jay Z’s as well. To be fair I think the style he went for this day on the beach looks quite fresh, lose fitted jeans and a white t-shirt is to die for in my opinion, paired with white sneakers and a snapback, pretty cool!! I couldn't find his exact t-shirt, i'm pretty sure the logo is a Versace logo, so I found the current Versace t-shirt instead! Even Blue Ivy matches them both…adorable!!

I also found a couple of other Beyoncé two piece style outfits, I love the two piece look, it was big last summer and by the looks of things from retailers like Missguided, New Look, Boohoo and Topshop, they are coming back again!!

Y is for Yoshio Kubo...

Y was also a difficult letter to choose so I hit to the web to look for a designer to write about. I came across Yoshio Kubo who is a Japanese menswear designer. I love his summer collection! I have picked 8 of my favourite pieces which are shown below but you can see the rest of his collection on the site linked below the images.

The company started in 2008 when he returned to Japan with his spring summer collection when the company was originally labelled yoshio KUBO. He had previously worked for the New York couture designer Robert Danes as an assistant designer after he had graduated from Philadelphia University school of Textile and Science in 2000.

M is for Michael Kors...

This one’s short and sweet, it’s been a long, fun filled weekend and I'm extremely tired! Plus I think Michael Kors say it all for themselves with their fabulous collections.

My love for Michael Kors began a few years ago when I discovered his outlet store at Cheshire Oaks. I was smitten with his handbag collection immediately, I later discovered the fashion and watch collections and everything about their brand. I was lucky enough to receive two handbags and a watch for my 21^st birthday last year! So I am forever grateful for my family and friends for spoiling me rotten as always and blinging me up with my designer gear!! The top left watch is mine and the other watch (bottom one in bottom right image) is my Cousin Connie’s, she got hers for her birthday in January from her parents.

I follow Michael Kors on all social media and if I had endless pots of money I would go crazy spending on the items available, I keep drooling over his summer collection pictures that popup everywhere!! Especially the pink faced watch below… (If anyone fancies spoiling me again I’d like this!) ;) The spring summer collections can be found on here.

Okay so after I have calmed over the past couple of days from the LFW hype, I decided to do a bit of research into the designer Holly Fulton whose collection I saw whilst down in London. Holly, who was born in Edinburgh, studied at Edinburgh college of Art and the Royal College of Art is best known for her bold prints and exquisite embellishments on her garments, which produced a phenomenal range at LFW for her AW14 collection. She launched her label back in 2009 and has had success ever since. She was rewarded for her talent in 2010 when she was the winner of the Elle Style Award for new designer. She was also honoured with the Young Designer of the Year Award at the Scottish fashion awards.

The collection I saw for AW14 had many of her signature statements which reflect her Art Deco, Bauhaus style and geometry shapes that flow through a lot of her collections. In particular I loved the sleek shimmer of the silvers, greys and pale blue tones that took over the collection with neutral tones of beige spotted in and the occasional bold red flicker that passed by. My favourite pieces from Saturdays show were the grey calf length patterned coat and the silver metallic dress with the straps hanging down which glided along as the model walked.

                        

Whilst I was researching this particular designer I came across her SS14 collection which played host to her usual chic style but with bright tones of blue, red and orange, with a reflection of the 70’s style. It literally warmed me thinking of summer nights just looking at it.

My last bit of research was into handbags, as I am a handbag lover! I came across her collection of bags which she had designed for Radley; these also reflected her bold, Aztec-Art Deco prints that run through her collections. These range from £129-£249 and can be found at http://www.radley.co.uk/handbags/holly-fulton/ I am in love with these gorgeous clutches and they are definitely going on my spring wish list!
